ovulated earlier than cycle day 11?
hi all,
i did an opk on last weds (CD 11) and it was a darker pink, but not as dark as the control line. did 2 on thurs (CD 12) and continued to 2 a day from CD 13-16--today. the lines never got to positive--they actually got more faint and today, almost not even visible. from this pattern, do you think i may have ovulated earlier than CD 11, or should i keep testing this month? if i did ovulate early, how many days DPO could i possibly get a positive HPT?
thank you! this is my first month using the kits--kind of bought them on a whim, otherwise i would have started earlier. i have what i thought was a textbook 28 cycle, but now i'm not so sure as this is frusturating and not making sense.
Its likely that you ovulated early. But I would continue to test until at least day 18 (thats if you are really don't want to waste a month of trying). even if you have a 28day cycle sometimes ovulation day can be off on some months. Now that you know you aren't exact every month, I would avoid assuming the 14th day is ovulation and continue to use the test. You can always buy them at places like Costco, they are cheaper and have more in a pack. I would also pay close attention to your cervical mucus. This is a natural way of your body telling you....I have been trying for months now for my second, and have learned a lot about my body and its cycle this way.
